Bowls ACT 2025 Calendar Now Online
Bowls ACT thanks all clubs and members for continued feedback for ongoing improvement!
Bowls ACT are pleased to release the 2025 Calendar earlier than in previous years, allowing clubs and members more time to plan for their own needs. Members will notice a new format for the 2025 calendar designed to be easier for clubs to plan their own events. As ever clubs are encouraged to provide Bowls ACT with your events to add to the calendar for 2025.
Following feedback from clubs and 2024 events the Match Committee have approved the key changes as listed below.
- Pennant Season has been impacted due to public holiday weekends in April with Easter and ANZAC Day long weekends falling consecutively causing the Pennant Grand Final weekend to be played after the break.
- The ACT Junior Carnival has been moved to now run across three days in late January with significant growth in junior participation.
- With ‘The Nationals’ moving to November in Tasmania the Champion of Champions events will all be able to be played in October, with the exception of the Singles which has been moved to later in August.
- The later dates for ‘The Nationals’ will permit the Mid-Week Pennant season to run uninterrupted which is ideal as more clubs and members get involved.
- Doran Bowl and Rookie Singles will now be played during ‘The Nationals’ giving newer players an opportunity to compete and the 2026 Mixed Pairs will now be played to close out the year, moving the popular event out of the coldest part of the year.
- All your favourite events will be back with the Graded Reserve Championships to run alongside the ACT State Championships to again allow more players to compete in formats which suit their standards.
- Live Streaming is again planned for the Greenline Invitational Singles, ACT Pennant Grand Final Weekend and select other events.
Bowls ACT will be releasing the 2025 Conditions of Play closer to the commencement of the playing season with the document currently under review.
