Coaching Course – Combined Intro/Club
The Bowls ACT Coaching Committee will be running the following courses for Introductory Coaches and Club Coaches.
Introductory Coach: This one-day course to be held on Tuesday 14th March will prepare participants to run appropriate bowling sessions for various groups such as social bowlers, corporate/ barefoot bowlers and school groups.
This course is for you, if you would like to assist your club in attracting new members or introducing others to the sport of lawn bowls. It is suitable for those who have a busy schedule and cannot commit to coaching on a regular basis. The course is also open to bar staff and employees of the clubs involved in running corporate bowling programs.
Club Coach: This two-day course to be held on Tuesday 14th February and Wednesday 15th March, leads to higher-level coaching of teams and/or individuals and provides an insight into learning skills, goal setting and coaching methodology.
This course is for you, if you would like to develop your skills in coaching. With experience, successful course participants are able to develop their skills to become valued club coaches.
When: 14th (Introductory Coach); and 14th and 15th (Club Coach) March 2017
Where: Belconnen Bowling Club
Time: Tues 9 am to 3 pm (Introductory Coach); and
Tue 9 am to 5.30 pm: and Wed 9.30 am to 3 pm (Club Coach).
Costs: $50 for Introductory Coaches ((includes manual)
$100 for Club Coaches (includes manual)
