Mixed Winter Tournament
Entries are now open for the Mixed Winter Tournament. Although often colloquially called the “Winter Pennant”, please note that this is NOT a pennant competition and no flag will be awarded to the winner. This is a mixed competition, with a side comprising two teams of three players (i.e. one female and two males, or one male and two females). A club may enter more than one side. Whilst it is generally expected that players be from the same Club, if a Club wishes to enter a side but has insufficient players or mix of players, they may invite players from other Clubs to participate. Where a club has teams in more than one division, players can only play in one division. The format is two bowl triples and will be played as a full home and away series.
Please note that the scores etc will be updated through Sports Connect by the Bowls ACT office.
The entry fee is $100 per side.
Dates of play: commencing Monday, 3 July 2017. Ten home-and-away rounds are currently programmed, with the finals series scheduled to be played on 21 and 28 September 2017 (final dates will depend on numbers and weather).
The Conditions of Play are as stated in Section 3.9 of the Bowls ACT Conditions of Play (effective 2 February 2017).
